The story of this incredible liquid begins at the Great Northern Distillery near the base of the Cooley Mountains in Dundalk, Co. Louth in Ireland. Classic triple distilled grain whiskey is married with equal parts of pot still malt, aged five years in ex-bourbon casks. From there, this gorgeous Irish expression undergoes a curious twist as it makes its way to Wigle Whiskey, an award-winning American rye distillery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here, Lead blender Taylor Bostock adds layers of spice and complexity by mingling a kiss of Wigle’s Monongahela style rye, also aged five years, creating a unique whiskey whose flavors are unlike any that’s been sipped before. Only a few hundred cases of this blend will be released in June 2022, with additional opportunities for fans to taste it at Glenn, Rob & Charlie’s upcoming The It’s Always Sunny Podcast Live! events.
