Winemaker Notes
A deep, impenetrable red, Governo is striking with aromas of cherry, black cherry, and extremely ripe red fruits, complemented by spicy notes. The palate is full and delicate, the perfect balance between smoothness and acidity. Given its distinctive characteristics, it pairs very well with succulent first courses and red meats in general.
Vintage Notes
The 2024 is deep and inviting, with notes of dark cherry, blackberry, plum, sweet spice, and a touch of dried fruit rounded out by hints of vanilla. On the palate it is round and velvety, an easy-drinking but full-flavored red that carries real depth for its price. Serve it with rosticciana or spaghetti in a rich meat sauce.
