The 2021 Carmignano Poggilarca opens with an exotic bouquet as blood orange and wild strawberries meet sage and lavender. This displays silky textures and ripe red and black fruits, offset by a bitter tinge of savory spice toward the close. The 2021 finishes long and leaves a primary staining of concentration, along with sweet tannins. This appears to be nicely balanced for the cellar.

Black cherries, licorice, walnuts and dried spices on the nose, followed by a broad, full-bodied and spicy palate framed by medium-firm tannins. Drink or hold.
Tasting Notes
The wine has a lively ruby red color. The nose is intense and vertical. Notes of cherry and pomegranate at first impact, then spicy hints. The taste is compact, decisive, with well-integrated spicy notes. The finish of good intensity and persistence.
To be paired with grilled red meats and roast poultry. It is recommended to uncork the bottle at least a quarter of an hour before drinking.
