Oban is one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland, located just 208 steps from the water in a western Scottish town that was named for the distillery that opened in 1794. Released this spring, this is a new take on Oban, aged in European and American oak, and finished for more than 4 years in oloroso and palo cortado sherry casks. That cask finishing lends so much alluring sweetness to this whisky.
