Lagavulin 9 Year House Lannister is one of eight single malts Scotch whiskies made to commemorate the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. One of the oldest, and richest, dynasties in the Seven Kingdoms, House Lannister will do anything to retain its power and influence over the Iron Throne. Their ferocious intent is aptly represented by the clawing lion of House Lannister’s banner which demonstrates that, if you cross them, you will hear the violent roar of House Lannister which has left many houses in ruins. This single malt was aged 9 years and bears the sigil for House Lannister--a golden lion. The golden liquid recalls the Lannisters’ riches and comes from being exclusively matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks. The nose is characteristic of Lagavulin and bursts with sweet smoke, with a slightly zestier, maritime scent than other expressions. On the palate it opens with smoky, caramelized banana, burnt marshmallow and vanilla, fading into a salted caramel finish.
