Kikori is a 100% rice‑based whiskey, launched in 2015 by Ann Soh Woods of Soh Spirits and distilled in Kumamoto on Kyushu Island, Japan. It’s a rare spirit crafted from rice and koji on a stainless steel still, aged for a minimum of three years in American oak, French Limousin oak, and sherry casks. sometimes between three and ten years.
The name “Kikori”, meaning “woodsman” in Japanese, is drawn from a folk tale about Visu, a woodsman who symbolizes the balance the brand aspires to reflect in its spirit.
It received several awards, including Gold at both the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and various 2020 competitions.
