History
George T. Stagg Bourbon Whiskey 2018 is a unique spirit, undoubtedly one of the most iconic and exclusive bottles in the Stagg collection. It is bottled at a high alcohol volume of 124.9 proof and is aged no less than 15 years, straight out of the barrel, uncut, and unfiltered. It is part of Buffalo Trace Distillery's “Antique Collection” series, which features rare bourbons released annually, but still hard to obtain. Named in honor of its founder, George T. Stagg, who began his distilling journey in 1878, this bourbon reflects a rich legacy. Stagg's innovative practices, such as creating the first climate-controlled warehouse for aging whiskey, set the standard for quality. After several ownership changes, the distillery became part of the Sazerac Company in 1992 and was renamed Buffalo Trace Distillery, preserving the rich history and exceptional craftsmanship that continue to define George T. Stagg Bourbon Whiskey.
