Duncan Taylor Rum Guyana Diamond 2004 13 years 54.7% Alc 750mL

Duncan Taylor Rum Guyana Diamond 2004 13 Year Old 54.7% ABV, 750mL is a rare, single-cask, cask-strength rum from the legendary Diamond Distillery in Guyana—home to some of the world’s most historic wooden stills. Distilled in 2004 and aged for 13 years, this exceptional release is part of Duncan Taylor’s prestigious single-cask program, known for showcasing the purity and power of premium, unblended rum.

Bottled at a robust 54.7% ABV, this Guyanese rum delivers deep molasses richness, layered spice, toasted oak, and the unmistakable earthy complexity that Diamond’s stills are famous for. With only one cask used for this bottling, availability is extremely limited, making it a highly desirable addition for collectors, connoisseurs, and anyone seeking an authentic, high-proof Demerara-style rum.

Perfect for fans of full-bodied, aged Guyana rum, independent bottlings, and rare high-strength releases with exceptional depth and structure.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich aromas of dark molasses, brown sugar, and raisin cake, followed by notes of leather, baking spices, charred oak, and a subtle earthy, smoky undertone typical of Diamond-distilled rum.

Palate

Powerful and concentrated at 54.7% cask strength. Layers of dark caramel, spiced molasses, dried fruits, and toasted oak lead into deeper notes of cocoa, black tea, licorice, and warm baking spice. The mouthfeel is thick, oily, and intensely flavorful.

Finish

Long, warm, and complex. Lingering molasses sweetness, oak spice, dark fruit, and hints of tobacco and earthy Demerara richness fade slowly, leaving a satisfying dry-spice finish.
