We wanted to take a brand new approach to a “Coffee Pilsner” and our Cellar Manager Jorge thought a Cuban Coffee focus could be just the ticket! So we started with a 100% @riverbendmalt base of Chesapeake Pilsner and a dash of Chit Malt. We then took a restrained approach to the water profile, and dosed in UK Fuggles throughout the boil and Whirlpool for an herbal, grassy, and restrained presence. We then fermented it low and slow with our House Lager yeast, spunded that fermentation for the natural carbonation, and laid it down to rest in a Horizontal Lager Tank for many-a-moon. 4.8% ABV
