The Diplomatico Collection Series is designed around one concept: isolating and showcasing what each individual still type at the La Miel Distillery contributes to the final blended Reserva Exclusiva. The batch kettle still — operated since 1959 — produces a heavier, more complex distillate than column stills, with more congeners and aromatic compounds carried through. Six years in American white oak previously used for bourbon and whisky adds the caramel, wood tannin, and dried fruit character that elevates the base distillate into a rum of genuine aged complexity.
