The Dimple Pinch 15 Year Old is a De Luxe blended Scotch from Haig, one of the oldest whisky blending families in Scotland, produced in a format as distinctive as its liquid — the three-sided pinched bottle and characteristic wire mesh wrap that have made Dimple one of the most recognisable presentations in premium blended Scotch since the late 19th century.
Haig’s blending history in Scotland predates most major distilleries currently in operation. The 15-year carries a minimum age statement on all component whiskies, producing a blend with measurably more development than entry-level Scotch — the nose is peppery and slightly hot with a soft, supple mid-palate and an elegant, lingering finish that reflects extended maturation. The bottle design itself — the three-faceted Dimple shape, the wire netting, and the distinctive label — was registered in the early 1900s and has remained essentially unchanged.

The three-sided pinched shape, the wire mesh netting around the bottle, and the traditional label design have been registered trademarks of the brand since the early 1900s. The shape is functional as well as iconic — it prevents the bottle from rolling.
Both are 15- and 12-year-minimum De Luxe blended Scotches respectively. The Dimple Pinch tends toward a softer, more peppery and grain-forward style; Johnnie Walker Black is smokier and more malt-driven from the Caol Ila component. Different house styles at comparable premium positioning.
