Hailing from Southeastern Italy, 2020 StraBIOrdante Organic Nero di Troia is a sumptuous, full-bodied red wine. It is made from organic grapes nurtured in vineyards in Puglia, the “heel” of Italy. This Nero di Troia displays an intensely red hue with undertones of dark purple. A fruity and persistent bouquet entices, leading with wild blackberry aromas. More dark fruits come in on the palate, joined by dried herbs and hints of black pepper and licorice. Silky, slightly sweet tannins make for a refined, highly enjoyable sipping experience. Also known as Uva di Troia, Nero di Troia is an ancient, purple-skinned variety that’s lesser known but worth exploring if you like a savory Italian red. Fantastic on its own, 2020 StraBIOrdante Organic Nero di Troia also makes a great companion for a variety of flavorful foods.
