History
Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is made in the traditional style of Kentucky Ryes, delivering a distinctive flavor profile that highlights the spice and complexity of rye grain. The Woodford Reserve Distillery, formerly known as the Old Oscar Pepper Distillery and later the Labrot & Graham Distillery, is located approximately eight miles from the town of Versailles in north-central Kentucky. As Kentucky's oldest and smallest distillery, Woodford Reserve is a National Historic Landmark, nestled on the same hallowed grounds where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. This rich heritage is reflected in every bottle, embodying the craftsmanship and dedication that has defined the distillery for over two centuries.
