Urlar Pinot Noir

Urlar Pinot Noir is a certified organic and biodynamic wine from the single-estate Urlar Vineyard in Gladstone, Wairarapa, where cool climate conditions and ancient, free-draining soils produce wines of elegance and complexity. Hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts, this 100% Pinot Noir is gently handled with daily plunging and aged in French oak barriques, including 20% new oak, with natural malolactic fermentation to build texture and depth. Garnet in color, it opens with aromas of earthy spice, bright cherry and dark berry fruit, red licorice, and delicate floral notes. The palate delivers vibrant fruit layered with savory undertones, balanced acidity, and long, fine tannins that create a smooth, lingering finish and a true expression of place.
