A 1991 Tormore 30 year old from Gordon & MacPhail bottled for their Connoisseurs Choice range. Matured for 30 years in a single refill sherry butt. Bottled a natural cask strength of 55.7% abv on the 15th of December 2021. A release of only 488 bottles.
Aromas of blackcurrant and pressed apple are complemented by notes of sweet toffee, cinnamon spice and roasted hazelnuts on the palate. The medium finish has lingering toasted almonds and spice.
The Connoisseurs Choice range was created in 1968 by visionary ‘Mr George’ Urquhart, to showcase seldom seen single malts at a time when most whisky was used for blending. This pioneering range has been crafted in relentless pursuit of perfection, using unique experience handed down through the generations.
