This exquisite wine boasts beautiful black and blue berry aromas, accented by hints of cedar, licorice, pine needles, plum, and tapenade. On the palate, the soft and velvety entrance gives way to a generous fruit and silky tannins, culminating in a long finish of boysenberries, dark cherries, mandarin orange, star fruit, and wild raspberries.
Crafted from dry farmed Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in sandy Yountville AVA soils, and complemented by a varying amount of Cabernet Franc, this vintage is matured in larger format, French puncheon barrels to achieve a more restrained oak treatment.
