The Yamazaki 12 Yr. Japanese Whisky - 750ML

Yamazaki 12 year old whisky is one of the best selling whisky brands in Japan. It's a kind of single malt whiskey. Yamazaki is the country's oldest distillery, built in 1923 outside Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan and a stronghold of traditional Japanese culture. In the Yamazaki Valley, north of Mount Tennozan, the Katsura, Kizu and Uji rivers meet. The fog covers this area of dense bamboo groves almost all year round, due to the difference in water temperature of the three rivers. The unique terrain of the valley, located between a plain and a basin, and its humid air provide an optimal climate for the production of Japanese whisky which differs considerably from the climate of Scottish distilleries.
