The Edition series was launched in 2015 to present The Macallan through creative collaborations outside whisky. Edition No. 2 with Rafael de Cárdenas followed the inaugural No. 1 with furniture designer Ilse Crawford. De Cárdenas's interest in architectural rhythm and contrast — balancing lightness and weight, warmth and coolness — is reflected in the edition's cask selection.
