Inspired by the vibrant city of Hong Kong, this unique single malt was created by The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker Euan Kennedy in collaboration with the Roca brothers, owners of the legendary El Celler de Can Roca restaurant. It is a bold whisky made through the lens of a shared experience in Hong Kong.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich, resinous, and sweet. Aromas of decadent ginger and spices are balanced by vibrant tropical characteristics like pomelo and mango. Subtle suggestions of Hong Kong-style egg tart, fragrant honey, and incredible antique oak.
Taste: Viscous and mouth-coating at first, bright tropical sweetness is followed by beautiful ginger and rounded spices providing great structure. Gentle waves of aged oak, grapefruit, and an umami-like depth.
Finish: Vibrant antique oak continues to shine.
