The whisky itself is a rich and luxurious medley of flavour, and Erik Madigan Heck used natural light to capture this depth of character in his still life. The reflective surface enhances the idea of flavours blending– almost as if seamlessly merging together as one - with the soft focus echoing the long-lasting taste experience. The whisky’s golden acorn natural colour is the focal point of the shot. Its rich tone and translucent glow has influenced the colour palette of the piece as a whole, with the soft caramels and browns and pops of red and green once more showcasing the depth of its flavour profile.
