Made by The Brew Bag, this heavy-duty 400-micron filter bag is sized for the full 35L kettle, making it ideal for traditional brew-in-a-bag (BIAB) brewing, DigiBoil setups without a malt pipe, or BrewZilla users who want to bypass the factory grain basket and take advantage of more of the kettle's available volume.

Brewing directly in the kettle can be especially useful when working with larger grain bills that push the limits of the standard BrewZilla malt pipe. Removing the basket gives you additional room for grain and mash water, allowing you to get more out of your 35L system when brewing bigger beers or recipes requiring more malt.

The fine 400-micron fabric keeps grain contained while allowing wort to flow freely through the mash. You can also crush your grain finer for improved mash efficiency and extraction without worrying about grain slipping through the perforations of a traditional basket.

When the mash is complete, simply lift the entire bag and grain bill from the kettle. The reinforced straps and lifting loops allow the bag to be lifted by hand or with a pulley system, while keeping spent grain contained for easier cleanup.

Important: Keep the Brew Bag Off the Heating Element

When using this bag directly inside a BrewZilla 35L or DigiBoil 35L kettle, the bag must be kept off the surface-mounted heating element at the bottom of the kettle. The Brew Bag should never rest directly on the heating element during operation.

For the BrewZilla 35L, we recommend using the Heat Exchanger Dish together with the supplied false bottom to create a protective barrier between the Brew Bag and the heating element.

For DigiBoil-only systems, we recommend using the same Heat Exchanger Dish / bottom screen setup to support the bag above the element.

Do not operate the system with the Brew Bag resting directly on the heating element.
