Made by The Brew Bag, this heavy-duty 400-micron filter bag fits neatly inside the BrewZilla or DigiBoil malt pipe, giving you an extra layer of filtration while keeping the convenience of the factory grain basket.
Using a Brew Bag inside the malt pipe allows you to crush your grain finer without worrying about grain slipping through the basket or creating a stuck mash. A finer crush can help improve mash efficiency and extraction, while the 400-micron fabric still allows wort to flow and recirculate through the grain bed.
It also makes cleanup considerably easier. When the mash is finished, lift the malt pipe as usual, then remove the bag and spent grain. Less grain debris makes its way into the kettle, malt pipe and pump system.
