Talisker 14 Year Old Natural Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 750 mL is a premium Islay-style single malt from Talisker, bottled at natural cask strength. Matured for 14 years and bottled at approximately 53.9% ABV, this whisky delivers potent flavour while preserving the bold, maritime-peat character Talisker is known for.

This expression combines Islay-style smokiness, sea-spray minerality, and rich malt depth — ideal for whisky enthusiasts seeking a high-proof dram that balances coastal character, peat smoke, and complex oak-driven maturation. Its strength and flavour profile make it perfect for sipping neat, perhaps with a few drops of water to open up layers.

Tasting Notes

Nose

  • Briny sea air and maritime salinity, evoking coastal breezes.

  • Smoky peat, driftwood and subtle charred oak.

  • Underlying sweet malt, light vanilla and soft honeyed cereal notes.

Palate

  • Full-bodied and robust at cask strength — peat smoke, smoked caramel, sea spray salinity, and salted toffee.

  • Mid-palate reveals oak spice, light pepper, and subtle citrus zest (lemon or grapefruit) balancing the smoke and salt.

  • A hint of dark chocolate or smoked chocolate may emerge, giving depth and complexity.

Finish

  • Long, warming, and evolving. Lingering smoke and sea salt, fading into oak spice, soft malt sweetness, and a delicate citrus-peat dryness.

  • The finish is powerful yet balanced — smoky and coastal, but with malt richness and oak-driven nuance.
