Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 'Small Batch - French Oak', Nulu Whiskey

• Straight bourbon whiskey sourced, finished, blended, and bottled by Prohibition Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky • Bourbon distilled by MGP in Indiana; two mash bills may be utilized for any given batch: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley and 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley • Aged 6 years in new American oak barrels before being finished in vat with French oak staves of varying toast levels • Fresh soil, campfire wood, Sichuan peppercorn, and flashes of minerality mingle on the nose, underscored by clover honey. Loose-leaf violet black tea and a hint of lemon curd on the palate lead to a drying finish of marjoram and mint. • Non-chill filtered; 51.5% ABV (ABV will vary batch to batch in a range of 50%–57%) A compelling combination of oak types, toast, and char converge in a bourbon that is at once brooding and buoyant on the palate. Let go of any preconceptions about what French oak lends to the finishing process and simply enjoy the ride.
