Aged more than 15 years in Sherry and Bourbon casks and finished in Mizunara oak barrels, this special edition spirit has a rich and satisfying flavour profile with a luscious, sweet aftertaste. It is a true expression of fine craftsmanship, with all-natural ingredients and without coloring and other additives.
Shinobu – It means “forbearance” in Japanese. It symbolizes the spirit of a samurai as applied to making great spirits,
which takes time, patience, and persistence.
Niigata – Niigata, where the distillery is based, is known in Japan for its “Three White” treasures - snow, rice and sake, as
well as pure water source.
Mizunara Oak - This indigenous Japanese oak is extremely porous and needs to be at least 200 years old before they can be
successfully made into a cask. The challenging nature of growing and crafting from Mizunara Oak, however, is worthwhile
as it presents a unique taste profile of bold flavours. The Mizunara Oak Cask is now one of the most sought after type of
casks in the global market.
