A small batch vintage 2000 Scapa released as part of the stunning Distillery Reserve Collection. Distilled on the 8th of March 2000, bottling was on the 26th of July 2018 at 52.5% abv. The fruity distillate from Scapa was matured in five casks #194, #211, #212, #214, #217 for 18 years giving a complex yet mellow single malt.
Aromas of sweet, honey-baked plums, juicy red apples and ginger are complemented by as taste of pears, rich all-butter shortbread and delicate heather honey with a hint of nutmeg spice. The finish is sweet with a gentle spiciness.
There were just 1512 bottles released of this exceptional Cask Strength Edition whisky.
