Santa Teresa 1796 Solera Rum

Venezuelan Solera Rum | 40% ABV (80 Proof) | 750 mL

Process & Profile

Santa Teresa 1796 is crafted using a triple-aging solera method at Hacienda Santa Teresa, Venezuela’s oldest distillery established in 1796. The process blends rums aged separately (4–35 years from light, heavy, and pot stills), cascaded through a four-tier solera system, and finished in French Limousin oak vats. Each bottle contains trace amounts of the original “Ron Madre” from 1992. The result is smooth, balanced, and remarkably consistent in flavor.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Caramel, honey, dark chocolate, oak, coffee, subtle spice

  • Palate: Vanilla, butterscotch, dried fruits, tobacco, plantain, molasses

  • Finish: Medium-body, with lingering oak, spice, and nutty richness

What Makes It Special

  • One of the first Venezuelan solera rums, made entirely on-site

  • Blend includes aged rum up to 35 years old

  • Triple-aged for depth and harmony

  • Low sugar content (≈3 g/L), delivering a dry, refined palate

  • Award-winning: more than 100 international medals
