Roederer Estate Brut Rosé NV Anderson Valley

When Louis Roederer — the Champagne house behind Cristal — established Roederer Estate in California's Anderson Valley in 1982, they chose the region for a reason: its cool, fog-driven climate, elevated acidity, and distinctive soils offered the conditions to make world-class sparkling wine with genuine Old World character. The Brut Rosé is the estate’s most expressive non-vintage bottling — a wine that consistently overdelivers at its price point and has earned a devoted following among sparkling wine lovers.

The multi-vintage blend is 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay, with 10–15% oak-aged reserve wines from the estate’s cellars adding depth and complexity. Disgorged in May 2023 with a dosage of 8 g/L. The result is a wine of delightful precision: fully balanced between red fruit and acidity, with a rounded mid-palate, enduring finesse to the mousse, and the structure to age through 2035 and beyond.

Gorgeous salmon-pink in the glass, the wine opens with aromas of yeasty brioche, fresh raspberry, strawberry, white tea, and spiced orange zest. The palate is firm and focused, with dried raspberry, orange blossom, cranberry, dried rose petal, and mint, gliding into supple orange cream and white grapefruit on a dry, refreshing finish. Graceful, dynamic, and endlessly versatile.

Jeb Dunnuck — 94 pts

“Gorgeously pretty in a salmon hue… delightfully precise in nature, fully balanced between red fruit and acidity, with a rounded mid-palate and enduring finesse to the mousse. The acidity and structure are solidly impressive and should give the wine plenty of time to age through 2035, if not beyond.” — Virginie Boone

Wine Enthusiast — 93 pts

“Pale-pink salmon-hued with aromas of yeasty brioche, fresh raspberry, youthful strawberry, white tea and spiced orange zest. The midpalate is firm mousse, dried raspberry, orange blossom, gliding into supple orange cream and white grapefruit with a dry finish. Pair with life.” — Tonya Pitts

James Suckling — 93 pts

“This wine has gone on my ‘wines that always deliver’ list. Delicious and excellent value.”

Wine Spectator — 92 pts

“Graceful yet dynamic, with pretty strawberry and citrus flavors that take on fresh violet, orange peel and spice accents as this builds vibrancy toward the bright finish.” — Tim Fish

Vinous — 91 pts

“A serious but also very versatile Rosé. Cranberry, spice, dried rose petal and mint grace this understated, resonant Rosé. Fleshes out beautifully with a bit of time in the glass.” — Antonio Galloni
