Rocky Mountain Stranahan's Single Malt Whiskey Diamond Peak (750ml)

Aromas of dried apricot, tack-shed leather, black licorice and a hint of wet cedar can be found in this single malt Colorado whiskey. The palate has flavors of Turkish dark roast coffee, butterscotch oak, cayenne and Mexican hot chocolate, with a rolling creamy finish. The spirit is aged four years in charred American oak barrels in the distillery’s mile-high warehouse in Denver, and hand selected from the oldest casks by the master distiller. It’s non-chill filtered, cut to proof with Rocky Mountain water and hand bottled. 

Mellow on the nose, with hints of warm banana bread, cinnamon, spiced apples, and walnuts are present but subtle. The palate is sweet and light. Apple and oak are the first flavors that pop out on the first sip. The finish brings a nice mix of heat and light flavors.
