“The 2022 Pinot Noir La Neblina is wonderfully inviting. Rich and sensual to the core, the 2022 is seriously impressive. Succulent red cherry, plum, rose petal, lavender and spice are front and center. This is an especially bold edition of La Neblina.” – 93 PTS, ANTONIO GALLONI, VINOUS MEDIA (07/2024)

WINERY NOTES:

TASTING NOTES: “Opens with layered cherry notes, juicy red currant, and ripe boysenberry, followed closely by fresh rose petal and a gentle hint of vanilla. Amidst the fruit complexity lies an earthy allure of woodsy fall spice, mingled with a touch of sweet leather and a tinge of anise. Balanced on a midweight frame, chalky tannins harmonize with the bright entry, adding an elevated freshness and highlighting the versatility and longevity of this charming coastal Pinot Noir.”

BACKGROUND: “Spanish for “fog,” la neblina rolls in from the Pacific Ocean to blanket and cool the coastal Pinot Noir vineyards of western Sonoma County. This is Radio-Coteau’s flagship Pinot Noir, always a cellar favorite, and is comprised of a complex array of three organically grown West County coastal sites on Goldridge soil. Lighter fruit set and drier conditions in 2022 led to lower yields and marked fruit intensity at all three sites. With very modest whole cluster inclusion and only 20% new, tight-grained French cooperage, the 2022 La Neblina epitomizes the essence of the Sonoma Coast within the distinct vintage context.”

Farming: Biodynamic, No/Low till, regenerative viticulture, Organic
Vinification: Barrel Aged, Indigenous yeast fermented, Partial Whole Cluster Fermentation, Unfined & Unfiltered
