Hand-selected by co-founder and Master Distiller, Alasdair Day, and each bottled at 50.7% ABV, this gift pack explores how Raasay spirits develop when fully aged in the following virgin oak casks: Quercus humboldtii, Quercus petraea, Quercus robur, and Quercus muehlenbergii.

Quercus humboldtii (Andean oak or Colombian oak)

Nose: Herbaceous wood smoke, caramel

Palate: Crystallised brown sugar, crème brulée

Finish: Lingering sweetness with hints of mint and green tea.

Quercus petraea (European oak)

Nose: Peat smoke, savoury spice

Palate: Savoury spice, cloves, wood smoke

Finish: Sweetness comes in at the end

Quercus robur (French Oak)

Nose: Warm rich fruit

Palate: Ripe fruit, dried raspberries, smoke, leather

Finish: A lingering spiciness

Quercus muehlenbergii (Virgin Chinkapin oak)

Nose: Wood smoke, dark fruits

Palate: Dark fruits, smoky bacon, maple syrup

Finish: Long dark fruits, smoke, ginger, cinnamon
