Winemaker Notes
Relative cool, bright core fruit nose with melon-like traces as well as delicate nutty, floral, and herbal nuances. Clear, straightforward, youthful fruit, fine acidity, floral hints on the palate, again with nutty tones, gentle grip, a hint of dark berries in the background, good, nutty finish. The Pierpaolo Pecorari winery is located in the DOC of Isonzo del Friuli. This is an unoaked Pinot Grigio yet it's rich in texture due to the longer lees aging. A fine match for seafood or light meat dishes.
Suggested dishes: Chicken in Chardonnay Marinade with Potatoes and Carrots. Crostini with cream of lentils and rosemary. Scorpion fish with thyme.
