Taste
Old Fitzgerald 15 Year Old Bottled in Bond lays out a remarkable tasting participation. With our first impression, this bourbon comes with deep woody notes, some char from a barrel, dried cherries, Erinmore flake tobacco, a hint of mint, toffee, maple, and nutmeg. On the mouth, it demonstrates a taste of wood and char, with a fascinating hint of dry wood and sweetness mixed together, ending with a dry minty finish that lingers on the palate. Initially, these creamy flavors create a smooth and memorable drinking experience, making each sip an indulgent journey through complexity and richness.

History
Old Fitzgerald 15 Year Old Bottled in Bond is a significant part of bourbon history, originating from the legacy of John E. Fitzgerald. This series of decanters, inspired by a classic 1950s design, encapsulates the essence of the Bottled-in-Bond designation, ensuring quality and authenticity. The Old Fitzgerald brand was first registered in 1884 by S.C. Herbst and later became synonymous with excellence when sold to Julian P. “Pappy” Van Winkle during Prohibition. Under Pappy's direction, Old Fitzgerald transformed into the first great Wheated Bourbon, a style that has since gained immense popularity. In 1999, Heaven Hill acquired the brand, continuing its rich tradition at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, where it remains a celebrated choice among bourbon enthusiasts.
