Nugan Estate’s Alcira Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the renowned Coonawarra region of South Australia, recognised for producing exceptional Cabernet. According to the winery sheet, the fruit is destemmed, chilled, cold-soaked for two days, and fermented with pure yeast cultures. The wine then matures for 14 months in a mix of American and French hogsheads.
The winemaker describes this Cabernet as deeply coloured with aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, mint, leather, cedar, earth, and allspice. The palate shows vibrant cassis and dark berry flavours supported by velvety tannins and subtle oak.
