Newton Single Vineyard Yountville is a distinctive wine from the best blocks of Newtons original vineyard, inspired by the great wines of Bordeaux. Produced in small quantities and available in limited release. The Yountville vineyard was established in 1973 on the lower slopes and foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. Heavy fogs that linger until the late morning provide a cooling influence on the vineyard. It is a vineyard of contrast: unorthodox, unique, historic and dense. In 2016, when blending for the 2014 Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon, the team discovered that the three best blocks of three vineyards Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder and Yountville were so distinctive that they merited bottling as three single vineyard wines that. Thus, the three Newton Single Vineyard wines were born. Bold, Appealing, Velvety. The wines represent classic Napa Cabernet with rich, bold and round flavors. This wine can be kept for the next generation and will age with grace for 20-25 years.

96 POINTS: JAMES SUCKLING - Super fresh boysenberry and mulberry aromas lead to a palate that has a very fleshy, long and dense core of fine tannins that carry in a seamlessly long, fluid style. There’s impressive purity here and excellent concentration of fruit.

94 POINTS: WINE SPECTATOR - A big, broad-shouldered wine, with a streak of savory darting through the layers of cassis, fig and boysenberry fruit, followed by sassafras and sagebrush accents on the well-structured finish, where a lingering echo of loam plays out. Best from 2021 through 2035.
