Monteru Rare Cask Pot Still Sauternes Cask Finished is a super-premium French brandy from Maison Monteru — finished in Sauternes wine casks, with an elegant pale yellow colour and a profile packed with apricot. Honey and yellow flowers on the nose give way to freshly toasted bread and apricot, a delicate silky palate of dried tropical fruit, and a finish of nuts, dried fruit, and baked apricot tart.
Maison Monteru traces its origins to the late 1700s, when a descendant of the Count of Monteru moved to the Cognac region. Today Monteru is the first French producer of single-grape brandies, distilling sought-after single varietals into a modern range that sits between traditional brandies and single malt whiskies.
