I can definitely see the appeal of the Miner Family wanting to make their own Sangiovese. They planted it in an area where it can grow and develop properly, "Gibson Ranch" in Mendocino County. Using their organic farming and unique winemaking techniques, they nicely meld old world and new world.

This Sangiovese is readily approachable with bright plum-currant flavors and hints of cedar on the palate. Food pairings include hearty dishes such as short ribs with pappardelle, lamb steak frittes, or eggplant parmesan.
