Milam & Greene Very Small Batch No. 1 Straight Bourbon (750 ml)

This year we introduced the most hands-on and daring of all Milam & Greene whiskeys, Very Small Batch Bourbon. This high-end sipper is finished with charred French oak staves, and is only released twice per year because of the time, patience, complexity and finite resources available to make it. At 108 Proof, 2023 Master Blender of the Year, "Heather Greene, 2023 Master Blender of the Year, designed this 108 Proof whiskey to hit a “sweet spot”, but without the domineering wood compounds that too often accompany many high-proof bottles. The Very Small Batch Bourbon instead harnesses the beauty of “esters;” molecules that talented blenders look for that deliver fruits, florals, and herbs made during mashing and fermentation. The goal with each batch is to maintain a similar flavor profile. This is where the expert skills of our whiskey team led by Greene come into play. There are slight differences to the personality of each batch, but the sweet and delicious notes of “jammy” dark fruits and French toast stand out in every bottle.
