Overview: A top Amarone cru, the maximum expression of one of the finest terroir sites of Valpolicella Classica.
The deep, friable and well drained volcanic soil that characterises the historic vineyard of its production confers the soft tannins and hints of almonds and minerals that make it special. An elegant wine with great intensity and balance.
Tasting Notes: Opaque ruby red. Intense and complex aromas of baked fruit and cinnamon. Full-bodied and well-balanced, with ripe cherry fl avours (sweet and marasca), baked plums and bitter almonds.
Pairing: Excellent as an after-dinner wine, or to go with red meat, game, quails and richly-flavoured dishes. Very good with well-aged cheeses, such as parmesan, pecorino and gorgonzola.
