Its historical roots trace back to 864, with the name derived from the Latin margo, meaning “edge” or “border,” reflecting its position along an ancient territorial boundary. The terroir here produces wines that are both generous and structured, with a distinctive tropical nuance.
Crafted using traditional Burgundian methods, the wine undergoes full malolactic fermentation and is aged for 8–10 months in French oak barrels (50% new, medium toast) from the Louis Latour cooperage. This careful élevage enhances both texture and aromatic complexity, resulting in a wine that is bold yet elegantly balanced.
