Maison Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy's most venerable and trusted wine houses, founded in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Over more than 165 years, the house has built an unrivaled reputation for consistency, terroir integrity, and the purest possible expression of Burgundy's great appellations. The Bourgogne Blanc is vinified and blended from 100% Chardonnay sourced from quality growers in the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise. In keeping with Jadot's practice of réplis, a proportion of superior village-level wines is incorporated into the blend in most vintages, elevating the quality of the final wine beyond what the appellation alone might suggest. The wine is aged in stainless steel for 12 months, preserving freshness and the natural expression of the Chardonnay grape.
The 2024 growing season began mildly, with warm weather in February and early March. April and May were cool and rainy, slowing growth and delaying flowering to early June. Temperatures rose to seasonal norms in July with abundant rainfall, followed by a drier, warmer August and a cool September — conditions that favored freshness and natural acidity in the final wines.
The 2024 Bourgogne Blanc opens with an expressive nose of green apple, pear, and crushed stone, with delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with bright citrus fruit and subtle tropical hints of apricot and pineapple. Clean, precise, and beautifully balanced — an accessible and genuinely satisfying introduction to white Burgundy from one of the appellation's greatest names.
