A 20-year-old Loch Lomond single malt made in collaboration with professional golfer Darren Clarke and Loch Lomond master blender Michael Henry. Matured in specially-commissioned virgin English oak casks, the palate offers notes of caramel, green apple, honeydew melon, toasted oak and clove, with hints of lime and ginger lingering in the finish.
Finished in virgin English oak, these casks were made specifically for Loch Lomond, so a chance to try how English oak differs from more common American oak or French oak.
Loch Lomond have made a range of whiskies as part of their partnership with The Open Golf tournament. This bottling was created as the Open will be hosted at Royal St George's in 2021.
