Le Sughere di Frassinello is the flagship red of the Frassinello estate — a joint venture between Rocca di Frassinello and the Castellare di Castellina family on Tuscany’s wild, sun-drenched Maremma coast. Blending Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from coastal vineyards where the Mediterranean influence tempers the heat and concentrates flavor, this is a Super Tuscan that delivers serious complexity without sacrificing drinkability. Deep ruby in color. The nose is broad and expressive: ripe dark berries, plum skin, blueberry jam, dried orange, blue flowers, and cedar. On the palate, it is juicy and tense, with firm, ripe tannins, impressive fruit concentration, and a long, enveloping finish of black cherry and spice. It delivers the bold, coastal personality that only great Maremma Sangiovese can — and will reward another 5–8 years in the cellar.
