Stags Leap District and aged 20 months in French oak barrels (80% new), the 2023
Cabernet Sauvignon J. Daniel Cuvée is deep purple-hued and offers a kaleidoscopic array
of red and black fruits, scorched earth, smoke, tobacco, graphite, and sappy floral nuances.
It's full-bodied on the palate, with a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, ripe, polished
tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish that won't quit. Give it just a few years of
bottle age and enjoy over the following three decades.”

“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2023 J Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon is 100%
Cabernet Sauvignon. It bursts from the glass with bold notes of cassis, fresh blackberries,
and black raspberries, plus nuances of cedar chest, mint tea, and dark chocolate with a
waft of iron ore. The full-bodied palate is bright, shimmery, and super-intense, with firm,
grainy tannins and a refreshing line, finishing long with a minty lift.”

“The 2023 growing season was long, cool and easy. Harvest was later than typical recently, and evenly-spaced out – allowing us to pick at the perfect moments. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, black raspberry, and dark chocolate burst forth. The signature flavors of blackberry jam, boysenberry, and black tea are here in spades. It is elegant and silky, and at the same time powerful, complex and insistent. The tannins are focused, ripe and round, with supporting acidity that is bright and lively. There is a concentration, clarity and drive that add up to a gorgeous expressive of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon at its very highest level.”
