La Rogerie La Grande Vie Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut 750ml

This wine is a Blanc de Blancs with a tiny production of only just over 2000 bottles.The reserve wine for this cuvée rested in a solera system which allows for the blending of multiple mature wines from different vineyards while also maintaining consistency.The more mature wines are blended with more youthful wines, which gives the wine the vibrancy to age successfully on its lees for a long period of time. Composed of 30% reserve wine, it was given a subtle dosage of 4 g/l.

“Our Chardonnays were planted in the 1950s, selected from plans massales.We work these old vines by adapting our size, our amendments and our plowing.The horse and the tractor take turns at the plows, the objective being to promote the life of our soils while very carefully encouraging the root system to dive deeper. Above all, the exercise allows us to recreate biodiversity by removing herbicides, using organic inputs (compost) and decompacting our soils. It also makes it possible to extract what is purest from our chalky soils.”
