La Reliquia Maguey Joven Madre Cuishe is a mezcal that is produced in the Mexican region of Oaxaca. It is distilled exclusively from maguey cuishe (also known as mother agave), a type of mature agave with a sweet and smooth flavor that enhances the production of high-level mezcal. This drink is produced in small batches by Manuel Méndez, a Mexican mezcalero who has been in the business for more than 40 years. It is distilled in copper nozzles, which gives the drink an intense flavor with aroma and that characteristic smoky touch. It is a mezcal with an intense and deep flavor, which is delicious served alone, with ice or mixed in other drinks.
