Most Knob Creek expressions are aged 9 years (standard) or 12 years. The 2001 Limited Edition pushed beyond 14 years — a significant extension that allows the charred white oak to impart deeper caramel, dark fruit, and leather character than shorter-aged expressions can develop. Three separate limited batches were produced, each with approximately 12,000 bottles, making the cumulative production modest by bourbon standards. At 100 proof, the extended aging concentration is fully delivered without dilution.
