Kavalan Solist Virgin Oak Banff Whisky Experience 2023 56.3% ABV 700ml

As the 1st festival bottling for the Banff Whisky Experience, this Kavalan Virgin Oak Single Malt was selected in a collaboration with Truth Malters to showcase exceptional quality and present a whisky that was remarkably flavourful and exciting for enthusiasts. It’s a rare cask release by this distillery and the first 2016 Kavalan Virgin Oak distilled.

Exemplifying Kavalan’s renowned tropical fruit notes and balance, it’s complex and reveals layers upon layers of notes. A Single Cask, Cask Strength treasure with 163 bottles produced and available at 56.3% abv.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Soft Treacle

Nose: Essence of smoked plum and purple grapes, entwined with a velvety blend of buttery vanilla and opulent beeswax. Evolving gracefully, the bouquet unfolds to reveal crisp floral undertones, complemented by the alluring presence of apricot and peach.

Palate: A journey of full-bodied indulgence, where a rich texture envelops the palate. Encounter balanced subtle spicy oak and the allure of sweet honey, accompanied by autumn pear and roasted chestnuts.
