A Scottish peated malt, matured in an ex rye whiskey barrel for over four years,
then finished in a 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon barrel from Napa. Our closest
whisky yet to an Islay Scotch.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Peaty and phenolic with some fruit including star anise then smoked fish.
- Palate: Oh such sweet peat then summer fruits and wood. Clean, succulent, and waxy with a hint of grilled meat. Black current and apple pie come through with a touch of water. The finish is long with licorice and peat through to the end.
