Great Plains sources limited lots of well-aged Canadian whiskies, in-cask, at full-strength from local sources - in this case from remaining stock from British Columbia's Potter's Distillery. 3 casks ... 165 cases ... this 100% corn spirit is finished in distilled spirits barrels imported from the finest estates in Europe from regions such as Cognac, Armagnac, and Andalusia.
Nose: BBQ'd corn on the cob, grape spirit, toffee and vanilla.
Palate: Oak spices dominate but not in an unpleasant way. Caramel and vanillans carry through from the nose, as does the cognac sweetness. On the back palate there is both leather and citrus.
Finish: Long and mildly warming. Sweetness prevails.
